The tomb of the ancient martyr Viktor is located in the crypt of Xanten Cathedral. A magical place, like so many other ecclesiastical sites in the Niederrhein region. Richly decorated, quite unlike the cathedral in Wesel, whose opulent furnishings were already lost during the Reformation. The spiritual and cultural center of “Kloster Kamp” breathes spirituality, and at the same time rich splendor can be admired in the treasury. Places to pause. Simply magical.

Contemporary art is on display at the “Kurhaus Kleve” and “Schloss Moyland” museums, the “Städtische Galerie im Park” in Viersen has an excellent collection of prints (Rembrandt, Picasso, Dürer) and is the focal point of the sculpture park with works by Tony Cragg, Henry Moore and Mark Di Suvero.
