The museum is located in the former moated castle of the Counts of Moers. In addition to the history of the castle and the cultural and everyday history of the region, the museum displays historical dollhouses and special exhibitions. The museum also includes a medieval play and learning town for children (separate opening hours), which is open for everybody to visit.
