WORKSHOP Making Sawoski from salmon leather

with Andrea Altmann-Herbst for children from 10 years and young people

A Sawoski is a talisman, suitably shaped for children’s hands. Among the Nanai people, they are given to children as a friendly protector.

Under the guidance of instructor Andrea Altmann-Herbst, the children sew details onto the cut salmon leather pieces and stuff the sawoski with cotton wool. During the concentrated work, the children listen to stories about the Nanai.

Initial sewing experience is an advantage.
