On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Joseph Beuys (1921-1986), the Museum Kurhaus Kleve will be showing a representative selection of its Beuys collection in the largest room of the museum, the so-called Wandelhalle, from 7 May to 5 September 2021. On display will be, for example, the monumental sculpture Bath Tub (1961/1987), the four-part work Untitled (My Cologne Cathedral), (1980), an extensive block of colour lithographs from the 1970s and the fragile wall piece Seven Palms (1974). This presentation is intended to complement the following exhibition Intuition. Dimensions of Early Work, which will be on view in all rooms of the Joseph Beuys West Wing around the artist’s former studio from 19 June to 3 October 2021.
